Privacy Covenant
This Privacy Covenant explains what information JioCodes ("we", "us") collects when you use our website or engage our services, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need and never sell your personal information.
Last updated: 3 September 2026
1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, company, and the details of your enquiry when you submit the contact form, request a quote, or email us.
- Payment information: when you pay through our site, the transaction is processed by PayU. We receive a payment reference, amount, status and the name/email/phone you enter — we do not receive or store your full card, UPI or bank credentials.
- Automatic information: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics to understand site usage.
2. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotes and proposals.
- To deliver, invoice and support projects you engage us for.
- To process payments and keep transaction records.
- To operate, secure and improve our website.
- To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.
3. Legal basis
We process information to take steps at your request before entering a contract, to perform a contract with you, to comply with the law, and for our legitimate interest in running and improving our business — balanced against your rights.
4. Sharing
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed: our email provider (Brevo) for transactional and notification email, our payment gateway (PayU) for payments, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. These providers are bound to protect your data. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell or rent personal information.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use a strictly necessary cookie to keep your session (for example, currency preference and, for staff, admin sign-in). If analytics is enabled, it may set additional cookies; you can block cookies in your browser, though some features may not work as well.
6. Data retention
We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to follow up and for a reasonable period afterwards. Project and payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
7. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, hashed credentials and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
8. Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop using it for a particular purpose. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. You also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.
9. Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; review their policies separately.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Covenant. The "last updated" date above shows the current version; material changes will be reflected on this page.
